Chickasaw Mudd Puppies

Describing their music as  "Lawrence Welk doing the futterwacken while drinking King Cobra 40s on George Clinton‘s car hood."must be a good start?
After far to long the Chickasaw Mudd Puppies are back. One of the finest bands ever to crawl out of the Athens Georgia Mudd a whoopin and a hollerin. Through the wonders of the www. I have recently ended up chatting with Brant Slay the bands singer/harmonica and porch board player  (half of the original duo, now a trio). With the other original member Ben Reynolds, now a photography professor (there had to be a link) and new member  Alan Cowart on drums the band has resurrected. You gotta love a band that invented the "rockin-chair".Check out one of my fav songs from their first album White Dirt.... Chickasaw Mudd Puppies: Frogmore - YouTube. Hopefully one day they'll end up in  really deep South?. Hootee Hoo !
